Lyman Curtis (1812)

He was born in New Salem, Mass. in 1812.  He was a notable early Mormon pioneer, a bodyguard to Joseph Smith, and one of the original nine horsemen to enter the Salt Lake Valley in 1847 and the man after who Salem, Utah was named.
