Dr. James Taylor - 
Born 1609 @ Pennington Castle, Cumberland, England
Died April 30, 1698 or89, Surry County, Virginia Colony
Son of Capt Thomes James Taylor, Jr. and Margaret Taylor
Husband  of:  Frances Taylor & Mary Bishop Taylor and 
ex-husband of Ursula Kettle and also Partner of Ursula Kettle.
Father of Ellizabeth Taylor, Capt John Taylor of Flower Hunder,
Mary bishop Pendleton, Jane Taylor, James Taylor and six others.

Note:  He emigrated in 1835 aboard the shop "True Love." 

 

On March,26, 1654 Edward Skynner presented a petition to the 
Commonwealth charging that Dr. James Taylor of Surry County...
lived in the loathsome sin of adultery with his late servant, Ursula kettle and
that she delivered a bastard child the 18th of October, 1653 or 54. 
Elizabeth filed for divorce.
